Fire Alarm Installation- Bishop Wordsworth's School, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
The school consists of several buildings varying from three storey
blocks to single storey blocks to pratten buildings and spread over
a fairly large area. The design had to address this situation by
offering a Fire Alarm system that would inform various parts of the site of
an alarm state without necessarily having to evacuate the whole
school.
For the Fire Alarm Installation, we selected an Analogue Addressable system, with four loop circuits.
Each device on the loop has it's own 'address' which when activated
will appear on the LCD display on the main and repeater panels,
such as 'Manual call point - First floor science block' or 'Smoke
detector - reception office'. Any activation is recorded in the
systems memory and can be printed out via its own built in printer.
Several thousand metres of cable were installed to achieve this
very important safety installation.
